A few days before Christmas we saw the release of a fan favorite product over the last few years. As 2023 Topps Chrome Black Baseball hit the shelves at Sports Card Market. Boxes are now available for purchase in store and online.
In each box you’ll find on average:
- 2 Base Cards & 1 Refractor Parallel
- 1 Encased Autograph
Topps Chrome Black returns for its fourth consecutive baseball season. The set has grown popular with collectors for the dark chromium and clean design which you don’t see often in sports cards.
The set features some of the top rookies, stars, and best players to ever grace the field. You can hit autographs of top rookies like Corbin Carroll, Jordan Walker, and Gunnar Henderson. While also chasing stars like Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, Mike Trout. But the chase doesn’t stop there as you also have all time greats like Albert Pujols, Ichiro, and Derek Jeter.
This product has been very kind to us in the past. In breaks we’ve hit a ton of awesome cards for customers and we intend to do the same with this years product. Of course we had to open a box to see if we could hit something cool. Below are all the cards from our box.
Starting off with our base cards and our refractor parallel. There's not a ton of cards in these boxes, so this should be a short blog. We did hit a base rookie which was cool to see, of Braves’ rookie Michael Harris. We then went back to back as our base card was Jacob DeGrom and our refractor was a Jacob DeGrom purple /150.
Finally, we have our autograph which was of Hall of Fame pitcher Rollie Fingers. Rollie is a 3 time World Series Champion, an MVP award winner, 7 time all star, and a World Series MVP. But he’s probably most known for his awesome mustache.
Overall, I don’t think we had the best box in the world. But it was still a very fun rip. I’m a huge fan of Topps Chrome Black and I can’t wait to rip open more boxes in the future!
